Music is good for the soul and so many of us turn to music to help regulate our emotions. That’s why we’ve been asked to run a stall at the Morley & District Health & Wellbeing Event. It looks set to be a fantastic community event. Come along and find out what’s available in the local area.
The band are pleased to be performing as part of the Leeds Summer Bands in Leeds Parks series once again in 2023.
We will be at Dartmouth Park in Morley on Sunday, 30th July between 2:30 and 4:30pm. No tickets are required and admission is free. The band will be asking for donations if you are able to support us.
The band are sad to announce the departure from our ranks of two wonderful players and supporters. Bass clarinet player, Chris Maddock, and flute player, Lorraine Jones, have both found it difficult to juggle playing in a few bands and have decided to scale down their commitments. We would like to thank them for their time with the band and, of course, wish them all the best in the future.
We would also like to announce that Gemma Seed has joined us on trumpet.
We have two confirmed events for the summer of 2016, both as part of the annual Leeds Summer Concerts In The Park series. On Sunday, 17th July, we will be playing at new Wortley Recreation Ground and the following Sunday, 24th July, we will be back at our local Dartmouth Park in Morley. Both events are free and take place between 2pm and 4pm, weather permitting!
We have already had one busking job raising nearly £50 so far this month and have another one on the horizon at our local Morrison’s in Morley. In other news, we welcome three new players: Gemma, Katy and Sarah.
As well as this, I have given the website a little Christmas love with snow and replacing our traditional logo with the one used on our Christmas collecting bucket!
